G.O.Y.A. (Greek Orthodox Youth of America)

GOYA is the ministry for Greek Orthodox students between grades 7 & 12. The goal of this group is to form bonds of fellowship with peers, to solidify Greek Orthodox Christian beliefs in the lives of teenage students while affording them the opportunity to express their Faith. Members of GOYA participate in many activities throughout the year.

A variety of ethnic Greek dances are taught during the school year for children of GOYA. Many times throughout the year they compete in dance competitions and dance at various church festivals.

G.O.Y.A. Mission Statement
To provide an environment where teenagers of Saints Nicholas, Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church can experience, live, and learn their Orthodox faith and culture. This is done so that as they grow and mature, both spiritually and physically, they will develop a commitment to God, the Greek Orthodox Faith and the Greek Orthodox Church.

G.O.Y.A. Motto
Our GOYA is an of America of Greek Orthodox teenagers, ages 13 to 18. It is a place where young people come to learn and grow as Orthodox Christians in today's society, as well a place where our youth can socialize and embrace the Greek culture. Many GOYAans experience making new friends and experience the faith and culture in a welcoming environment. It is a great way for our youth and their parents to be involved in our Greek Orthodox Community.

My dear friends and parishioners of Ss Nicholas, Constantine and Helen,

By the grace of God, our vision for a new Church has become a reality. We received the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Evangelos and have merged our two churches to begin our united path forward.

We are embarking on one of the most exciting times in the history. All parishioners are called upon to contribute to the success of our project. This is a unique opportunity for our families to be directly involved in building our new church for this generation and for the generations to come.

Many opportunities to volunteer and to participate in moving our vision forward will be set before you. We will work with dedication and harmony, and guided by the Holy Spirit we will build a magnificent house for the Lord. Let the fruits of our labors make us both humble and proud.

With Love in Christ,
Fr. Peter Souritzidis
