In Orthodox Worship, the human voice and soul are invaluable. Through
music and song, we are witness to the faith and the range and quality of
the liturgical life of the Orthodox Church and glorify God by singing our
praise to Him.
Currently, the director is Mr. James Vardakis, who introduces the members
to new music and new interpretation of current music. The choir sings in
four-part harmony, using Byzantine tonality. The intricacy of the unusual
beat and tonal intervals have led our director to strongly recommend that
members attend choir practice, which is held during the academic year. |

" Now that the summer is here, we would like to
give you an update on your CHOIR. Besides the regular Sunday liturgies, Christmas
programs, Concert/Dinner - Dances, we have also taken part in three wedding
ceremonies at St. Nicholas Church in Wyckoff. Recently, we were asked to
chant the wedding ceremony at St. George Church in Asbury Park on Saturday,
June 21st.
Come September, we are looking for new members to join us. It is fun and
we chant for the glory of the Lord, Jesus Christ.
Have a good, happy, sage and enjoyable summer. See you in September,
Your Choir and Jim Vardakis" |

My dear friends and parishioners of Ss Nicholas, Constantine and Helen,
By the grace of God, our vision for a new Church has become a reality. We
received the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Evangelos and have merged
our two churches to begin our united path forward.
We are embarking on one of the most exciting times in the history. All
parishioners are called upon to contribute to the success of our project.
This is a unique opportunity for our families to be directly involved in
building our new church for this generation and for the generations to come.
Many opportunities to volunteer and to participate in moving our vision forward
will be set before you. We will work with dedication and harmony, and guided
by the Holy Spirit we will build a magnificent house for the Lord. Let the
fruits of our labors make us both humble and proud.
With Love in Christ,
Fr. Peter Souritzidis |
